The Offspring is an American rock band from Garden Grove, formed in 1984. Originally created under the name Manic Subsidal, the band consists of vocalist and rhythm guitarist Dexter Holland, lead guitarist Noodles, bassist Todd Morse, drummer Brandon Pertzborn, and multi-instrumentalist Jonah Nimoy.
Over the course of their long career, they have released ten studio albums. Alongside fellow California bands Green Day and Rancid, The Offspring is often credited with helping revive mainstream interest in punk rock during the 1990s.
With more than 40 million records sold worldwide, The Offspring ranks among the best-selling rock bands of all time.
