Japan Day is coming to Luxembourg for the first time, taking over LuxExpo The Box on March 28 and 29, 2026 for a full weekend dedicated to Japanese culture. The event brings together manga, anime, cosplay, video games, art, traditional Japanese culture and Japanese street food all in one place.
On the program: over 100 artist and creator booths, a large shopping area with official merchandise, a real Japanese-style game center with arcade machines and tournaments, as well as a traditional culture area featuring kimonos, tea ceremony, martial arts and cultural workshops.

The main stage will host talks, shows, performances and cosplay contests throughout the weekend. Immersive exhibitions (including Pokémon and Studio Ghibli-inspired sets) and many creative activities for both kids and adults will round out the experience.
A wide selection of Japanese street food will be available all day long. A must-visit event for fans of Japanese pop culture and for anyone curious to discover Japan in a fun, immersive way.
