We are living through a period of profound change, marked by deep concern, in which freedom of expression, freedom of thought and our world are under threat. Attacks on human dignity, living conditions and cultural diversity remind us of the urgent need to rethink what connects us and reaffirm what makes society.

In this context, cultural spaces, festivals and public meeting places play an essential role. They become spaces for memory, dialogue, recognition and resistance, where solidarity is expressed with those from here and elsewhere, bearers of multiple histories, and where a shared, inclusive and open citizenship is built. At a time when the questioning of facts, the retreat into identity, the invisibility of certain cultures, the hunting down of people in the streets of Minneapolis and fears of a world on the brink of implosion are fuelling divisions, these spaces offer places to meet, understand and imagine other possibilities together.

In a world marked by war and violence, celebrating cultural diversity and strengthening the links between memory, solidarity and citizenship is essential to building fairer societies and a shared future.

The Festival of Migration, Culture and Citizenship returns for its 43rd edition with this conviction: to build bridges, create relationships and resist the sadness of the world, nourishing our shared imaginations. Organised by the CLAE, it is both a joyful space for sharing and expression, and the bearer of a collective project for a new citizenship. By forging links between different backgrounds, stories and living spaces, it acts as a real catalyst for social justice.

Once again this year, more than 400 information, food and craft stands, run by associations, institutions and political, social and cultural figures, invite you to come and meet them. Creators, writers and national and international guests, debates, round tables, performances, exhibitions and screenings accompany these exchanges on major contemporary societal and geopolitical issues. Make the most of

this edition and… welcome!
