Royal Blood – Mike Kerr and Ben Thatcher – commented, “This is a message that we really hoped we would not have to write, but due to the uncertainty around Covid-19 restrictions in some countries we are having to make some changes to our 2022 tour. We are so sorry to miss out on playing these shows for you. We hope you understand the position we are in, and we will be back to play for you as soon as we are able to.”

Royal Bloods aktuelles Album „Typhoons“ ist nicht nur in Großbritannien direkt auf Platz 1 eingestiegen, sondern hat auch in ganz Europa für Begeisterung gesorgt. In Irland erreichte es die Spitze der Charts, während es auch in Ländern wie Belgien, den Niederlanden und der Schweiz die Top-10 erreichte. Nachdem Royal Blood kürzlich eine für 2022 angesetzte UK-Arena-Tournee angekündigt hat, die auch die größte Londoner Show ihrer Karriere im The O2 beinhaltet, können sie nun Details zu ihrer bisher größten europäischen Headline-Tournee bekannt geben.
Die Tour wird die erste Europatournee von Royal Blood seit der Veröffentlichung von „Typhoons“ sein, sowie die erste seit der Sommerfestival-Saison 2019. Es umfasst elf Shows in acht Ländern, bei denen das Duo vor insgesamt rund 60.000 Zuschauern spielen wird. Die Ankündigung kommt, nachdem Royal Blood eine bemerkenswerte Rückkehr auf die Bühne hingelegt hat, indem sie ein Set am Brighton Pier als Teil des Radio 1’s Big Weekend of Live Music 2021 aufgenommen haben.
